President: Milka Zlomislic, Toronto CDSB
Milka Zlomislic
is the Superintendent of Capital Development, Asset Management and Renewal
at the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Before joining the TCDSB in
2010, Milka spent over 15 years as a Senior Project Architect/Associate at
major Toronto consulting firm specializing in K-12 educational and health
care facilities. Milka started her tenure with the TCDSB in 2010, as a
Project Supervisor in the Capital Development group. She later served as
Manager of Renewal before being promoted to Senior Manager and Acting
Senior Coordinator of Capital Development. After departing the TCDSB in
2019, Milka worked in the Capital Department at the City of Mississauga,
and served as Manager of Capital and Facilities Renewal Projects at the
Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.
Milka graduated
from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture, and has been a
licensed architect in Ontario for over 20 years. As a graduate of the
TCDSB, she hopes to make a positive and lasting contribution to Catholic
education through her work as Superintendent, as well as in her role on
the OCSBOA Board of Directors.
When away from work, Milka enjoys
watching her children’s hockey and soccer games, hiking with her family,
and painting
watercolours.

Vice President: Brian Capovilla, Wellington CDSB
Brian Capovilla is currently the
Executive Superintendent at Wellington Catholic DSB and has worked with
Wellington Catholic in a variety of positions for over 24 years. In his
current role, Brian is responsible for Human Resources, Equity, Diversity
and Inclusion, Indigenous Education, Leadership Development and Technology
Enabled Learning. Prior to taking on this portfolio, Brian was the
Superintendent of Education, with responsibility of Student Support
Services, Student Success, Mental Health and Well Being and Family of
Schools. As a district leader, Brian is committed to inclusion and
providing the system conditions for the success of all
learners.

Past President: Khaled Elgharbawy, York CDSB

Khaled Elgharbawy is the Superintendent of facilities services and plant at York Catholic School Board (YCDSB), where he manages all aspects of activities for over 110 buildings. He previously served as a Senior Coordinator of Maintenance and Energy Management at the Toronto Catholic District School Board for 11 years.
Khaled holds a Mechanical Marine Engineering degree and is a Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Canadian Sustainable Energy Practitioner (CSEP), and a senior member of the Association of Energy Engineers. He has over 30 years of experience in Facility Services Management, particularly in Project Management, Operations, Maintenance, and optimizing organizational processes.
In his free time, he enjoys boating, fishing, and technology with his small family.

Kerry Pomfret, Waterloo CDSB

Kerry Pomfret is the Superintendent of Human Resources at Waterloo Catholic School Board. She joined Waterloo in August of 2022 after spending two years at Brant Haldimand Norfolk District School Board as the Manager of Human Resource Services where she began just ahead of the pandemic. Kerry spent 18 years in the University sector working at Carleton University, the University of Waterloo, and St. Jerome’s University. She held leadership positions in Human Resources and in Co-operative Education and Career Development Services.
Kerry holds a Bachelor of Sociology and the Certified
Human Resources Leader designation from the Human Resources Professional
Association. She is also certified in Alternative Dispute Resolution,
Mediation and Change Management.
Outside of work Kerry spends
time with her three grandchildren and attending to the needs of her St.
Bernard,
Ollie.

Kevin Sun, Dufferin-Peel CDSB
Kevin Sun is the Internal Auditor for the
Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) and is responsible
for ensuring the Board and its schools are in compliance with Board
policies and procedures. Prior to joining the Board, Kevin was employed in
the financial services industry for over 16 years, the majority of that
time spent with Royal Bank Canada (RBC). Kevin has a Bachelor of Arts -
Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo and holds a Chartered
Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA)
designation.

Roger Mabardi, York CDSB
Roger Mabardi is the Assistant Manager of
Facilities and Community Use of Schools at the York Catholic District
School Board, where he has worked for 25 years. Roger is enthusiastic
about serving this upcoming year with

Betty Stavropoulos, Toronto CDSB
Betty Stavropoulos is the Senior
Coordinator, Human Resources - Benefits & Compensation for the Toronto
Catholic DSB and as a member of the senior HR team is primarily
responsible for managing the Board’s Compensation and Pay Equity
obligations as well as the operations of all Benefits policies and
plans.
Betty has enjoyed working for Toronto Catholic for 30 years in various roles, primarily in the Human Resources department. Currently representing OCSBOA on the CAEAS-ECAB Council, Betty has previously served as a Director and is looking forward once again to the opportunity of promoting the mission of OCSBOA as a Catholic education partner. Outside of work, Betty is kept busy enjoying biking, baseball and travel with her two children and volunteers at her local church parish as Council Secretary and Sunday School teacher.

Ida Bruno, Huron Superior CDSB
Ida Bruno is the Manager, Human Resources
at the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board. Prior to her
joining HSCDSB in January 2024 she spent nearly 15 years in HR with the
City of Sault Ste Marie. There she worked in all aspects of HR
(recruitment, benefits administration, job evaluation, occupational health
and safety, disability management, and attendance management) and she
brings a wealth of experience from her work as Labour Relations
Coordinator at the City where she worked with and managed 9 collective
agreements.
Ida holds a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies (BMOS) from The University of Western Ontario and a Post Graduate Certificate from George Brown College - Human Resources Management Program. A member of HRPAO, she holds the CHRP and CHRL designations. As well, Ida stays current with workplace best practices through professional development and has completed certificates at Osgoode, Lancaster House and Queens University.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and will occasionally enjoy a day golfing or on the ski hills.

Rosalia Betti, Toronto CDSB
Rosalia Betti, Sr Coordinator, Payroll Services at the Toronto Catholic District School Board, oversees Payroll Services. She is seasoned Payroll Manager adept in the latest payroll systems and compliance regulations. With 30 years of experience in the Payroll arena and 20 years of experience in the Payroll, Benefits and Pension arena along with 15 years in management her passion for Payroll is proven in her ability to work on projects that enhance user experience along with improving payroll services.
Clients are the employees we service. She dedicated to helping clients by ensuring accuracy and reducing processing errors through strategic process improvement initiative.
When
she is not working, she loves to bake, listen to audio books about health
and wellbeing, spend time with my family and her two
dogs.

Vince Artuso, Toronto CDSB
Vince Artuso is currently the Purchasing Manager at the Toronto Catholic District School Board. He is responsible for supporting the procurement needs of various departments including Facilities and Operations as well as Administrative and Curriculum departments. Prior to this role, Vince was part of the Facilities department as was responsible for managing and delivering various complex construction projects.
Vince graduated from the
University of Toronto from the Faculty of Engineering. He has a Bachelor
of Applied Science in Civil Engineering and has obtained the designation
of P.Eng. from Professional Engineers Ontario.
As a former student of the
Catholic system, Vince believes that a proper Catholic foundation is the
cornerstone of a good education and will serve our students well into the
future.

Stacy Hogg, Bruce Grey CDSB
Stacy Hogg is an accomplished Human
Resources executive, bringing over 25 years of cross-sectoral experience
in healthcare, manufacturing and education. Her demonstrated expertise
includes cultivating positive organizational culture, optimizing HR
processes and strategic talent acquisition and retention.
As the
current Superintendent of Human Resources at Bruce-Grey Catholic District
School Board, where she began her tenure in 2019, she is responsible for
workforce planning, performance management, compensation and benefits,
health and safety, labour management, Human Resources Information Systems
and HR policy implementation. She is passionate about fostering inclusive,
high-performing workplaces where employees feel valued and empowered to
succeed.
Before joining BGCDSB, Stacy served as the Vice President of
Human Resources, Public Relations and Physician Recruitment at a
Southwestern Ontario hospital, where she championed impactful local and
regional initiatives. Academically she holds a Bachelor of Arts in
Sociology, a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management, a Masters
of Health Studies and the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL)
designation from HRPA.
Outside of her professional role,
Stacy demonstrates her dedication to leadership and community engagement
through her active volunteering in her local municipality and service as a
Board of Director for the Medical Centre.

Executive Director: Peter Marchini

Peter Marchini began his career in Catholic Education in 1976 with the former Windsor Catholic District School Board as Controller of Finance. From 1984 until his retirement in 2007 he held the position of Superintendent of Business and Board Treasurer for the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board.
Peter is a graduate of St. Clair College and a Certified Management Accountant. He obtained the Ministry of Education Supervisory Officers Certificate in 1984. Since his "retirement" Peter has continued his commitment to the Windsor/Essex community.
He
currently is Co-chair of the Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital Foundation Gala,
and recently he has been appointed as an Inspector representing creditors
in the General Chemical Canada Limited bankruptcy process. During the 2008
Federal election Peter was Campaign Manager for a local candidate.
He and his wife Mary, a Registered Nurse, recently celebrated 35
years of marriage. They have two children Ashley, also an RN, and Michael,
a chef now working in New Zealand.Peter is pleased to once again be
associated with Catholic Education as Executive Director of
OCSBOA.
